CURRICULUM SUMMARY:

The classroom (and field) training sessions are held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.*  Starting at 8 AM and ending at 5 PM. There may be after-class events planned, such as happy hours.

Participants will meet other members of the class and learn more details of what’s ahead in the program. Along with team-building activities, we will prepare you to get the most out of this year’s program.

Understand a day in the life of local firefighters and police officers. This day involves hands-on activities that will make you more aware of how our first responder fire and police departments operate.

Build awareness of local development in the Desert Foothills region water infrastructure and conservation strategies.

Get up close and personal with our elected officials. Gain a better understanding of publicly elected officials, and local, state, and school districts.

Learn about the many social services in the area and the importance of community involvement as it relates to volunteerism, philanthropy, and engagement.

Build awareness of local development in the area and region regarding our infrastructure.

Get to know the various educational opportunities within the Desert Foothills region.

Familiarize yourself with many local and regional forms of art, entertainment, and education.

Time to celebrate your achievements with your fellow students and family. You deserve it. A great time to reflect on your progress throughout this transformational journey.
